Orkney Swimming Record Broken

Orkney Island Games swimmer Ross Manson has had some really positive preparation for his trip across the Atlantic. Last night at the Stromness PB League event he broke a twenty two year old Orkney record in the 200m Breaststroke. Ross took six seconds off Hanson Pottinger’s time set in 1991, finishing in 2.33.69. It’s the first Orkney mens open swimming record since 2001. Ross will be competing in four individual events in Bermuda, including the 200m breaststroke.
