2011 Isle of Wight

The NatWest Island Games held in the Isle of Wight in 2011 ran from June 25th until July 1st. Orkney won four medals in total. A gold for archer Ian Brough in the men’s FITA recurve. Silver for Mellissa Thomson in the women’s sporting shoot. Mellissa also won a silver along with team mate Michelle Koster in the team event – just missing out on the gold medal by two shots. The men’s team were also in the medals. Alan Clouston, Derek Firth, and Victor Smith won a bronze in the team sporting event.
