Strong Performances from Local Triathletes

Bermuda 2013 Triathlon medallists Bobby Oag and Paul Kerr were first and second home at Orkney Triathlon Club’s first event of the 2014 season. They finished ahead of 16 other competitors, which included some taking part in the sport for the first time. The mini event in Stromness featured a 400m swim, 10k cycle and 3k run. The next event will be a Sprint Triathlon in July. You can find out more on the Orkney Triathlon Club Facebook page.

Meanwhile Paul Kerr managed to hold his form this weekend with a first place and new personal best in the Wick Spint Triathlon. Neil Robertson was third and David Hamilton came in tenth. All very positive as organisers hope the next generation of triathletes in Orkney gets inspired by the sport.
